Goals
(Habakkuk 2.2)
1.A worshipping church, with every member seeking fellowship with God in spirit and in truth, prayer, and regular attendance in worship service.
2.A learning church with every member committed to Bible Study and enrolled in a Sunday School Class.
3.A soul winning church, each one reach one, showing love to God by touching the untouched, reaching the unreached through witnessing to them, with the hope of bringing them to Christ and membership in the Spirit of Christ Baptist Church.
4.Every member a tither which is the way of financing the work of the Kingdom of God, without begging, based on the Word of God.
5.Each member prays and strives for building God’s church this year.
Mission Statement
As the Spirit of Christ Missionary Baptist Church, we are a part of he universal family of God, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, and believing in he power and freedom of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to missions as we reach out to the community. We are further committed to the work of the ministry as taught by the scripture to be purpose-driven, striving to operate on a level of excellence as we reach the lost, nourish the saved and make disciples as we go, grow, and glow for our LORD.
We do this because of Matthew 28:19 and 20.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the so, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe al things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the ends of the world. Amen.”
The Vision
Our vision is to bring this church as close as possible to the first age church. We must utilize each ministry to its potential using the gifts, which God has given us to operate. Our aim is that every leader becomes actively involved and concerned about the needs of the congregation coming together in the unity of the Spirit.
As committed Christians attending Bible Study, Sunday School, Prayer Service, Worship Service, and Personal Devotion, we will experience an increase spiritually, numerically and financially.
Luke 4:18 and 19 says: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
We are inspired by God’s word to make and impact on lives that have been threatened by the gates of Hell. Evangelism and discipleship are our tools in building a holistic Christian base that will be the foundation of a strong community outreach ministry.
